Our Services
At Souls Harbor of Joplin, we believe in providing a “hand up, not a hand out.” As a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are dedicated to serving the homeless and hurting in the Joplin community in a variety of ways.

Short Term & Transitional Housing
We provide safe overnight shelter and a structured transitional housing program designed to help guests move toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

Daily Meals & Food Pantry
We serve dinner daily to our residents. Our food pantry provides food boxes to anyone in the four states area who in need to help bridge the gap.

The “Free Store”
Our community-supported thrift store offers clothing, shoes, and household items free of charge via a voucher system, ensuring everyone has access to basic necessities.

Our Story
Souls Harbor was established in 1982 by Dr. Art Jones and his family when he saw a need of a “shelter” for the homeless men, women, and families of the area. With this vision to clothe, feed, counsel, and share the Lord Jesus Christ with the less fortunate, Souls Harbor came into existence. Souls Harbor is guided by a board of directors from the community and local churches. Souls Harbor receives no government assistance and is totally supported by churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals concerned for the plight of the homeless.
